The SportsPlex's Figure Skating Director,
a Master Rated as a Freestyle Instructor and holds a Ranking Level III from the Professional Skaters Association.

JJ Barksdale

USFS Senior Freestyle and MIF coach. PSA Freestyle and MIF Coach. PSA accredited Hockey Instructor Level 1-3. Power Skating. Member of PSA and USFS since 2003.

Mary Jo Bullin

28 years of experience. PSA Master Rating in moves-in-the-field and Certified Rating in freestyle. Gold Test Medalist in figures, freestyle, dance, freedance and moves-in-the-field. Junior National and National Coach. Toured with Holiday on Ice.

Elizabeth Curtiss

16 years of experience. Member of PSA. Gold medalist in ice dance, free dance, and has completed the entire international dance test. Specializes in dance, spins, moves-in-the-field, and hockey.

Jayme Gaster

10 years of experience. Member of USFSA and PSA. Specializes in freestyle, moves-in-the-field, dance and choreography with skaters of all ages and abilities. Coaches the Carolina Ice Sensations and Carolina Ice Classics synchronized skating teams.

Aya Hayashi

Specializes in teaching choreography/musicality, freestyle, ice-dance, and moves in the field. Has passed her Novice freestyle, Junior Moves in the Field, and Silver Dances.

Stephanie Kennedy

Eight years of experience. Member of the USFSA and the PSA. Gold medalist in ice dancing and has passed novice moves-in-the-field and freestyle. Specializes in jumps, spins, moves and ice dancing.

Mary Catherine McKee

Four years of experience. Passed novice moves-in-the-field, juvenile freestyle, and pre bronze dance. Specializes with kids in basic skills and freeskate levels, and teaches synchronized skating.

Paula McKinley

12 years of experience. Member of the USFSA and the PSA. Coach for the Carolina Ice Sensations and Carolina Ice Classics Synchronized skating teams. Teaches group classes and private instruction in freestyle, dance, moves-in-the-field and choreography.

Megan Ridpath

One year of experience. Passed novice moves-in-the-field, juvenile freestyle, and bronze dance. Member of the USFSA and the PSA. Specializes in freestyle, moves-in-the-field, power skating, dance and choreography.

Deborah Swainey

19 years of experience, Specializes in jumps, spins, moves-in-the-field, and choreography with skaters of all ages and abilities.

Kelsey Tjalma

Three years of experience. Passed junior moves-in-the-field, intermediate freestyle and silver dance. Specializes in private lessons for beginners.

Passed novice moves-in-the-field and freeskate. Specializes in freestyle and moves-in-the-field and enjoys teaching beginners.

Regional competitor with five years experience in teaching. Member of USFSA and PSA.Passed PSA Bacis Accreditation. Teaches all ages. Tests passed: Junior Moves in the Field, Intermediate Freestyle and Bronze Dances.
